blind contour friday 10

denison à la vanessa
denison à la vanessa

this week's blind contours come from my night out with friend and co-worker vanessa (who was involved in another blind contour when things just started gaining momentum with BCF).

we saw denison witmer at jammin' java in vienna, va. it was a great deal of fun; denison is one of my favorite musicians and he was a pleasure to listen to and speak with. also, i got to see the area where i used to work, when i did telecommunications/customer service (i.e., back when i made money), and eat thai food. yum!!

the picture above was done by vanessa. i liked hers so much, i wanted it to get seen first. here's mine:

denison is actually a good blind contour model, since he doesn't jump around too much.

  1. I really really like this! Your bc is so good, you've got such a real sense of movement in it, I can almost hear him playing! It's a great subject, and your loose lines work so well.

  2. I think BC is really the only way to capture a wiggly musician! Nice work!

  4. wonderful bc. You can feel those fingers moving across the guiter. And a bonus - you got the right amount of fingers.
