necklacei decided to play around on photoshop this week and put some color on these blind contours. the color was not blindly done, i admit, but i don't think i am quite ready to add that much complexity to the process. blindly draw, scan,
and then go back to blind? too disorienting.
origami frogi had some other origami subjects as well, but didn't manage to get them scanned in time. that's okay. i already feel extravagent putting two blind contours for one week. it's just hard to pick only one sometimes.
look to
inkfinger for more blind contour friday links.
The necklace is very pretty.
ReplyDeleteThe frog is kind of hallucinatory.
I like them!
The jewelry bcds always turn out so well! Yours is excellent. I'll have to try this one of these Fridays ;D.
ReplyDeletewhat a grest oragami. I can tell its a crane, right?;-)
ReplyDeleteThe necklace is really great- so delicate and detailed. I'd love to see a detail! Excellent job and nice use of colour
ReplyDeleteWOW! (do my comments always start with "wow"? At any rate, I love both. the necklace is my favorite because of all the little beads and stones...RAD!
ReplyDeletefabulous necklace drawing. so many beads, so much patience. was this BCD meditative? And how daring of you to do a BCD of an origamic creature, with all those folds. Good stuff!
ReplyDeleteif there's one thing i've discovered about bc's it's that sometimes the most complex looking thing is the easier to draw (asparagus, jewelry). the little parts all fit together so well, that keeping track of where you are becomes more second nature.
ReplyDeletethe origami actually was more difficult than i expected for the same reason-less lines than i thought there'd be. i am hoping to put a picture of the frog on at some point, so that a comparison of the bc and the actual frog is easier.
the necklace turned out beauutifully and though I can't tell the origami bc is a frog I do see a turtle's face in the upper yellow shape!
