blind contour friday 06
knife
if you are a jardeleza, you'd understand. that is if you could recognize this for what it actually is. this is my first knife. in my mom's family, it's a rite of passage of sorts to get your first good knife. and spydercos are good ones. i've had it for about ten years or so, give or take a year or two.
i was quite lazy with my blind contours this week, and it ended up that i did more blind contours this time around as a result. nothing was very satisfying. so i thought i'd play with color instead. i bought this green marker ages ago for some other project only to find that the color wasn't exactly right. i'm glad i found a means of using it.
stereo
ian decided to do a blind contour as well this week. it's my bulky stereo that i got in high school off the internet for thirty dollars. it serves its purpose, as often as i use it (not very). yay for ian's contribution!
and as a general note-blind contour friday came early this week because i have a feeling that the computer may be needed later for another seven day challenge due this week.
look to inkfinger for more blind contour friday links.

Love the green lines on black! Using a dark background really makes the lines pop.
ReplyDeletethis reminds me of those drawings with light sticks in the dark. that's how you did this right? good show!
ReplyDeleteYet again, you have managed to do a BC that is filled with life and is still recognizable. These are both great. I love the details like the screws in the knife and the buttons on the tape decks. Good job Jes & Ian!
ReplyDeleteWOW! that green on black is rad. it glows! I am especially impressed with Ian's drawing..the buttons and overall shap are so crazy and fun. SOO glad he decided to do one..i KNEW he would be good. =)
ReplyDeletenot from bc group but really like this one.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see an animation like this. The loose green marker lines on black. I for some reason think of those sesame street vignette's with the dancing neon puppets on the black curtain. Great stuff.
ReplyDeleteBoth of these BCs are great. The color choices really make them sing.
