Everyday Matters Challenge 36 : Drawing in Public

diner desserts
mmm... cakes

here's my post for drawing in public. i went to our office in hagerstown, md to train some caseworkers, and stopped off at barbera fritchie's candy stick restaurant for breakfast in frederick. it was a fun little diner, with cheap food (which anyone can appreciate). the three folks at the bar were fun to watch, but i found it easier to draw the cakes on display. besides, i found the display pretty priceless, so i couldn't help myself.

i drew it on the back of my paper placemat, and when i scanned it, the other side scanned through as well. so... that's why the background is so dark, so that you can see some of the other side. i'm not the happiest with the coloring job, but i figure that it'll have to do for now.

  2. I actually really like the cobalt blue background and how it contrasts with the soft white! Yep, I like this sketch very much.
