As I've mentioned in a couple of places, I'm on a specific diet for specific reasons. I will not bore folks with the details beyond noting that it is pretty restrictive and that I do not always follow the recommendations. That being said, I have found that the diet has been a good match for me overall. It should have protected me from the menacing head cold that I've managed to get this week, and it didn't. But I am willing to forgive it this time, and see if it can't straighten up and fly right by me.
If you'd like more information on the actual diet, I've chosen to follow this one. I have found it more palatable than some other choices, but only because its approach resonates with some of my own preferences. The forums on the site are fabulous, and I draw a lot of inspiration and recipes from there. I do want to note that I do *not* hate sugar. It just likes me too much. It's got poor boundaries with me and so I have had to file a restraining order against it.
Anyhow, so the plan on this site is just to post about foods that I've come to love more than I anticipated, or to just show the world that my diet isn't as horrid as some (read: husband) may make it out to be.
