Everyday Matters Challenge # 7: A Kitchen Container

kitchen containers
cookie jar and containers

ian and i received this cookie jar for our wedding. it's fun, even if i don't have any use for it.

this is the first time i've used charcoal in ages; i have to admit, i got a little lazy with it after a point. i'm sure there's a lot more work i could do on it, but i've become less interested in playing around with it these days. it's a shame i'm so lazy.

  1. Jessica - I can't really critique your charcoal, but I can say that the "jar" looks like a cookie monster (pun intended :-)
If you are not fond of cookies, how bout some biscotti?

  2. This drawing has so much character - it really made me smile. (Made me want to bake cookies too!)

  3. I like this drawing very much, Jessica---and it makes me remember that there IS charcoal out there as a medium! I use it mostly for life drawing, but I should try it for other stuff, too.

  4. You've made me want to get out my charcoal supplies. There is nothing that can equal that rich, black shading. Very nice.

  5. This is really nice work! Kudos to you not only for a great drawing, but also for reminding us (me) about charcoal as a drawing medium.
