Everyday Matters Challenge # 7: A Kitchen Container
cookie jar and containers
ian and i received this cookie jar for our wedding. it's fun, even if i don't have any use for it.
this is the first time i've used charcoal in ages; i have to admit, i got a little lazy with it after a point. i'm sure there's a lot more work i could do on it, but i've become less interested in playing around with it these days. it's a shame i'm so lazy.

This drawing has so much character - it really made me smile. (Made me want to bake cookies too!)
ReplyDeleteI like this drawing very much, Jessica---and it makes me remember that there IS charcoal out there as a medium! I use it mostly for life drawing, but I should try it for other stuff, too.
ReplyDeleteYou've made me want to get out my charcoal supplies. There is nothing that can equal that rich, black shading. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteThis is really nice work! Kudos to you not only for a great drawing, but also for reminding us (me) about charcoal as a drawing medium.
ReplyDeletewell there you go, your use for it is as a fun model! and yes love too the beauty of charcoal (but not for me too messy!)
ReplyDeleteand many thanks for all your comments
Jessica, I think this is so charming. I love it, it brought a smile to my face. Great job.
